Kim Henderson (M.F.A. University of Montana), is originally from New Mexico. Her chapbook of flash fiction, The Kind of Girl, won the Rose Metal Press short-short fiction chapbook contest and was published in 2013. Her stories have appeared in The Kenyon Review, Tin House, Cutbank, Flash Fiction Online, H_NGM_N, New South, The Southeast Review, River Styx, and elsewhere.  She has published work alongside her Idyllwild Arts students in Generations Literary Journal.  Her stories have won prizes in The Southeast Review and Newport Review, and her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and received honorable mention in the Glimmer Train Very Short Fiction Contest.  Before coming to Idyllwild, Kim taught Creative Writing and Composition at the University of Montana.  She is currently at work on a short story collection.
