As a native Southern Californian, Don French has worked consistently as a professional keyboardist, producer, composer, arranger, vocalist, studio owner and audio engineer. Since high school, he has owned and operated ‘Spirit Productions, Southern California’, a multi-faceted music production company that has produced projects in many styles- including pop, rock, country, contemporary Christian, gospel, alternative, folk and jazz. And, while academically attending Fullerton College and Cal State Long Beach, he also worked as the staff accompanist for the commercial music programs at Orange Coast, Long Beach City and Rio Honda Colleges.

Don’s work has received multiple awards, including a ‘Telly Award’ for a project on which he composed, produced, performed instrumentally and vocally, as well as engineered every aspect of the music. Additionally, for many years, he appeared as the principal synthesist for the ‘Hour Of Power’ television ministry. As a music faculty member of the Idyllwild Arts Academy and Summer Programs, his hope is to honor the institution’s reputation for nurturing gifted young individuals by further development of contemporary keyboard, songwriting, arranging and production skills, actualizing their artistry and helping them to become positive and integral parts of tomorrow’s music and society.
