B.S. Marketing, Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. Darren worked for The Walt Disney Company for 14 years where he began his career as a Skipper on The Jungle Cruise as part of the Walt Disney World College Program. He subsequently was chosen as one of four Americans to represent the United States in the World Showcase Fellowship Program at EPCOT Center. Following the Park experience he moved to Walt Disney Consumer Products where his work in Training and Development of both retail and corporate staff was an integral part in the U.S. and European expansion of The Disney Store. In 1999, he was recruited to join the internet startup eStyle, Inc., better known as babystyle.com. At babystyle.com he created the customer service function that included a 24-hour call center and a staff of 30 call center representatives. In 2002, Darren began working as Director of Public Relations for the Idyllwild Arts Foundation and was then named Director of Marketing in 2005.
