Animator and Fine Artist, Andrew aspires to awe young audiences with fantastical worlds while grounding his narratives in down-to-earth conflicts. In this way, he aims to positively impact the next generation with artworks that encourage empathy and meaningful reflection. The accessibility of animation and its innate resonant qualities make it the perfect vehicle for him to inspire young audiences to strive for better selves and better futures.
Andrew’s deep passion for arts and children’s programming is right at home at Idyllwild Arts. Every year Andrew dedicates his summers to various youth programs. He’s enjoyed directing youth community outreach in the Dallas-Fortworth area, teaching animation in Carnegie Mellon University’s pre-college program, and serving as the Adult Program Assistant for the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program. Now, Andrew brings his rich education in fine art, design, technology and children’s psychology to the Idyllwild Marketing Team where he serves as the Social Media Manager.
Outside of work and his art practice, Andrew enjoys singing acapella and jazz music, writing, biking and exploring the natural beauty of Idyllwild.
