Awards Assembly
We held our Annual Awards Assembly last Thursday and gave out class scholar awards, good perfect attendance, honored the prefects for the 2005-2006 academy year, Rotary gave out awards for good citizenship and many scholarship awards in memory of alumni were also given out.

Baccalaureate
Baccalaureate is an event that is held every year the evening before commencement. It is a chance for students and teachers to say goodbye to one another and to honor one another. Class scholars for the graduating class are announced during Baccalaureate as well as the department scholars. The graduating class nominates one of their classmates to give a speech as well as one of their faculty members. Please enjoy the photographs. Thank you to Vance and Jeremy for the pics.

Commencement
Commencement is a beautiful outdoor event at the Robert Holmes Amphitheatre on campus. The parachutes are up to protect everyone from the sun, the grass is green, and the orchestra is prepared. The members of the faculty walk down the amphitheatre to the stage first, followed by the members of the graduating class in order by department. Our commencement speaker this year was Meg LeFauve, who made her transition from Hollywood to Idyllwild "complete" by taking off her shoes while on stage. Congratulations to the class of 2006!
