World Cultures/Intro to Lit Final
Karin Obermeier’s 9th grade Intro to Lit class and Martin Maaloumi’s 9th grade World Cultures class combined efforts and projects for their first semester final. Students had to write a personal essay on the biggest influence in their life and prepare a group presentation. Here are a few photos from the first group’s presentation on Friday morning. Thanks to Theresa for the photos.

American Lit Final
This was a all-class performance piece that the students in Karin Obermeier’s American Literature class did on the poets Walt Whitman, Langston Hughes and Allen Ginsberg. They used a variety-show format, incorporating readings from the poetry, music, sculpture, drawing, and acting. The students chose the theme of “ideal versus reality” to represent the works of all three poets. This was the final exam-project for the American Lit class. All students were involved in various ways: they formed committees to plan and carry out the many tasks that were required to create and perform this multi-arts piece. Thanks to Tamara for the photos she took from her cell phone!
