Orchestra Concert
Friday evening, the Idyllwild Arts Orchestra performed at Spreckels Theatre in San Diego. The concert was incredible, and enjoyed by all who attended. The Orchestra performed again on Friday evening at the IAF Theatre on campus. Thank you to Vance and Jeremy for the photos from Spreckels.

Creative Writing Mid-Year Reading
On Sunday evening, the Creative Writing majors held their mid-year reading in Stephens Recital Hall. Congratulations to Meredith, Bri, Marlo, Blake, Meredith, Carey, Alana, Heather, and Laura for an excellent reading. After the reading, the Creative Writing department hosted a reception and dance party.

Chicago Unified Auditions
This year 22 theatre seniors attended the Unified Auditions in Chicago, IL along with Howard Shangraw, Debi Lastinger and Todd and Bonnie Carpenter.
The group participated in approximately 200 theatre auditions and portfolio reviews in the 4 days of auditions. Our first day consisted of auditions with NYU and Roosevelt University and then shopping and a Super Bowl Party in the suite with authentic Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. During the next few days the students met with over 30 different colleges, conservatories and actor training programs which include schools like Juilliard, Southern Methodist University and Carnegie Mellon to name a few. We did manage to squeeze in some fun too. Each night we sampled a different ethnic cuisine including Greek, Italian and Russian. We will all look forward to our senior’s acceptances in the coming months and are proud of what they have accomplished.
