Prefect Dance

Auditions for the first theatre production are this evening, master classes have started in the music department, and we’ve even had our first dance of the year. Thank you to Mark Hespenhide for taking the following photographs of the Prefect Dance Saturday evening.

The Prefect Dance featured the Idyllwild Arts Jazz Band for part of the evening, as well as the dj–ing talents of many of our students.

Palm Springs International
Festival of Short Films 

The Moving Pictures Department attended the Palm Springs Film Festival on Thursday evening where Alexis Echavarria’s film, “18 minutes” was screened. The Alexis Award has been created in Alexis’ memory and will be presented to student filmmakers who show extraordinary promise. The Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films and Film Market will present The Alexis Award on Sunday, September 25, 2005.

“18 Minutes” also won the "Audience Award Best Student Digital Short Film" at the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival on September 19, 2005.
