Jessica Silverman, Oct 10 – 2pm
Jessica Silverman, owner and director of Silverman
Gallery, is a recent graduate of the MA Program in
Curatorial Practice at California College of Art.
In 2006 she took part in the inaugural Curatorial
Residency at the Frankfurter Kunstverein. While in
Frankfurt she worked closely with Martha Rosler's
Library to create a program of film screenings, lectures
and artist projects that would highlight aspects of
Rosler's vast collection.
Silverman Gallery continues to play an important role
in the San Francisco community while expanding its
international presence. Currently, Jessica sits on
the boards of New Langton Arts and the San Francisco
Arts Commission. In addition, the gallery has recently
worked with curators Larry Rinder, Jan Van Woensel,
Lithuanian curator Raimundas Malasukas and is organizing
a collaborative exhibition with Andreas Huber Galerie
in Vienna.

Kristen English, Oct 24- 2pm
Kristen English received her BFA from Otis College
of Art and Design and MFA from California Institute
of the Arts. Currently working with the SWA Group
in Creative Communications, Kristen focuses on issues
of urban planning, enviromental sustainability, and
landscape architecture. Recent projects include PARKing
Day LA, an annual event focusing on sustainable transportation
throughout Los Angeles and around the nation, as well
as a curatorial project for the SWA Group "Ornament
is a Crime", featuring 17 emerging Los Angeles
artists.

Maya Schindler, Nov 6 – 2pm
Maya Schindler is a Los Angeles-based artist originally
from Jerusalem, Israel. She received her MFA from
Yale University and her BFA from the Bezalel Academy
of Art and Design in Jerusalem, as well as attending
the CORE program in Houston, TX. Recent solo exhibitions
include Wishful thinking wishful, The Miller Gallery
at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, THE NEW
DEAL at Anna Helwing Gallery, Los Angeles, and Blah,
Blah, Blah Revolution at the Claremont Museum of Art.

Mark Hagen, Nov 7 - 2pm
Based in Los Angeles, Mark Hagen received his MFA
from the California Institute of the Arts and BA from
the University of California, Santa Cruz. Recent exhibitions
include Give it up smooth, Mandrake, Constellation,
Kavi Gupta Gallery, Chicago, IL, and the 2008 California
Biennial, Orange County Museum of Art.

Sant Khalsa, Dec. 5 - 2 pm
Sant Khalsa is an artist, educator and activist living
in the Santa Ana Watershed. Her artworks develop from
her inquiry into the nature of place and the complex
environmental and societal issues present and visible
in the landscape of the American West. Her work has
been shown in more than 100 solo and group exhibitions
in the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand,
etc. and have been acquired by permanent museum collections
including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Center
for Creative Photography in Tucson, Nevada Museum
of Art, UCR/California Museum of Photography, and
others in addition to private and corporate collections
in the U.S. and Europe.
She is Chair of the Art Department and a Professor
of Art (Photography and New Genres) at California
State University, San Bernardino where she is one
of the
founding faculty of the Water Resources Institute
(WRI). Her artwork is represented by Acuna-Hansen
Gallery in Los Angeles.
