On January 1, 2007, Rachel was appointed executive director of Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.

Jason Jackson '89 – performing with the Broadway musical The Color Purple: Jason has most recently become a member of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Prior to his position in the VJO, Jason worked with the Ray Charles Orchestra, Lenny Kravitz, James Brown, Illinois Jacquet Big Band and Slide Hampton’s Jazz Masters. Jason has also played with the Dave Holland Big Band, McCoy Tyner Big Band, Charles Mingus Big Band, and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra directed by Wynton Marsalis.

Liang Wang '99 – principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic: Liang Wang ’99 is Principal Oboe of the New York Philharmonic, a position to which Music Director Lorin Maazel appointed him in 2006. Liang was previously the Principal Oboist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

Yao Zhao '95 – associate cello principal at the San Diego Symphony Orchestra: The newly appointed Cello Principal of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, Yao Zhao ’95, has held the Associate Cello Principal position for the past two years. Prior to that, he was the principal cellist of the San Diego Chamber Orchestra and a member of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Originally from China, he is one of the youngest cello principals in any major symphony orchestra in the world.
