Native American Scholarships
Scholarships for the 2007-2008 Academic year have been
awarded to four Native American students. These students
were selected based upon their outstanding academic record,
a documented and displayed interest in their art form
and their commitment as good citizens to their previous
school communities. We encourage all students and families
to continue to apply for the 2008-2009 Academy year and
for the coming 2008 Idyllwild Arts Summer Program.
The Idyllwild Arts Academy, America's premier boarding
school for the
arts (grades 9-12) has scholarship opportunities for Native
American students. These scholarships, based on demonstrated
family need, are potentially worth up to $45,000 (renewed
yearly). To qualify, students must follow the admission
and financial aid requirements for the school
and provide a registration number as proof of enrollment
in a recognized tribe. A 3.0 GPA is highly recommended
as well as a demonstrated interest/ability in the arts.
