Idyllwild Arts Academy is pleased to offer a number of merit scholarships to Academy applicants for the 2017-2018 school year. Please see details below.
General Merit Scholarships
Idyllwild Arts offers a limited number of merit scholarships at three levels:
Art Chair’s Award – $5,000
Deans’ Award – $10,000
Presidential Award – $15,000
All applicants are automatically considered for these awards just by completing their applications. No additional materials are required. Scholarships are awarded to applicants after holistic review by the Admissions Committee, and are awarded based on the strength of the student’s complete application.
The Elora Hardy Global Scholar Award – $25,000
Each year this scholarship, inspired by the creative works of Elora Hardy ’99, is awarded to an incoming Idyllwild Arts student that reflects the global artistic vision of Idyllwild Arts.
Application Instructions: To apply for the Global Scholar Award, the student should submit an additional essay of 500 words that describes their experience of multiculturalism and how it has shaped their development as a student, artist and person.

Each of our limited Departmental Scholarships are worth between $1,000-$25,000 and are awarded based on the strength of the student’s audition or portfolio. All students applying to these concentrations are automatically considered for these awards. No additional application is required.
